Invitación al Vernissage - ART IN BCN

Inauguración de la cuarta muestra de ART IN BCN en colaboración con Patricia Cancelo ART GALLERY BCN y con los artistas: Vanesa Lara, Tony Remartinez, Incertagloria, Vanitira, Carlos Frías, Xavier Marti.

Tony Remartinez

ES: "Nací en el siglo pasado, en  un pueblecito de Córdoba ( fue allí, como podía haber sido en cualquier otro lugar), actualmente resido en Sitges. Siempre he pensado que las reglas son para romperlas o como mínimo intentarlo, y también en este campo. Con la intervención de la fotografía, pretendo intervenir también en la visión que tenemos de la realidad, una realidad que nos hacen ver que siempre es la misma. En mi realidad, intento llevar las imágenes a un nivel de irrealidades diferente, lo que llamo “la fotografía como concepto surrealista de la misma realidad” o la deconstrucción de la realidad, a través de la fotografía."

EN: "I was born in the last century, in a small town in Córdoba (it was there, as it could have been anywhere else), I currently reside in Sitges.

I have always thought that the rules are to be broken or at least to be tried, and also in this field. With the intervention of photography, I intend to also intervene in the vision we have of reality, a reality that makes us see that it is always the same. In my reality, I try to take the images to a different level of unreality, what I call "photography as a surreal concept of reality itself" or the deconstruction of reality, through photography."

 

Vanitira

ES "Guardo desde muy niño, en mi memoria, el grato recuerdo de las largas horas que pasaba ensimismado dibujando, intentando de atrapar en mi cuaderno el mundo de los superhéroes, con sus increíbles poderes, y las bellas heroínas de los cómics. Ése fue el inicio de mi pasión por el dibujo “a lápiz” (las sombras, los difuminados, el carboncillo...) para con los años ir descubriendo el color, su fuerza, los contrastes y sus combinaciones. Básicamente las cosas importantes no han cambiado: sigo recreando mundos

interiores, plasmando mis emociones a través de figuras, colores, matices y dando expresión a unas formas que ahora ya no recuerdan a héroes sino a “retazos”, momentos o sensaciones que pasan por mi vida."

EN: "From a very young age, I keep in my memory, with a pleasant feeling, the long hours I spent absorbed in drawing, trying to catch in my notebook the world of comic’s superheroes and heroines, with their incredible powers and amazing beauty. That was the beginning of my passion for “pencil” drawing (shadows, smudges, charcoal...), to discover over the years the colour and its strength, its combinations and contrasts. Basically the important things have not changed. I continue to recreate inner worlds, expressing my emotions through figures and shapes, colours and nuances, and giving expression to forms that now no longer remember heroes but "strokes", moments and sensations that are part of my life."

Carlos Frías

ES: "Desde muy joven comencé a trabajar en las artes plásticas con pintura al óleo, acuarela y dibujo al puntillismo. Realicé algunas exposiciones. La primera vez que tuve una cámara fotográfica, una CANON EOS 300 analógica, en mis manos, fue en el año 2001. Suelo ser autodidacta pero viendo que los primeros resultados del carrete de fotos fueron satisfactorios empecé a adquirir libros, revistas y asistí a cursos de fotografía en general, y a otros más específicos sobre técnica y/o categorías fotográficas para ampliar conocimientos.

A partir del 2006 me pasé al formato digital, desde entonces voy ampliando conocimientos y adquiriendo nuevo material para tratar de mejorar la calidad de mis fotografías.

EN: "From a very young age I began to work in the plastic arts with oil painting, watercolor and pointillism drawing. I did some exhibitions. The first time I had a photographic camera, an analogue CANON EOS 300, in my hands, was in the year 2001. I am usually self-taught but Seeing that the first results of the film were satisfactory, I began to acquire books, magazines and attended photography courses in general, and others more specific on technique and/or photographic categories to broaden knowledge. From 2006 I went to the digital format, since then I have been expanding my knowledge and acquiring new material to try to improve the quality of my photos."

Xavier Martí

In a world totally saturated with images, where even the role of photography is even being questioned due to the, at times, increasing trivialization of its contents, the image can take another role outside the context where it was taken, and outside the context for Wicht it has been thought.

The 20th century has been the period of trivialization of images. The profusion of production and dissemination of images through the media, social networks and mobile devices has often made graphic representation an inconsequential futile fact destined to be consumed and forgotten in a matter of seconds.

The language of collage allows us to reconstruct the meaning of the image with other meanings, taking it out of its original context, for

which it was created, by transferring it to another environment, with other identity codes.

The use of materials close to the viewer, such as newsprint, cardboard, materially brings the work closer to the viewer . It wants to familiarize him with what is in front him and tries to stimulate questions about what the artist has tried to frame.
